Fail to Prepare, Prepare to Fail

Preparation is key in any diet or healthy lifestyle. Sunday is the perfect day for me to cook my meals for the week so my day started with a trip to Sam's Club. My mini $50 haul included chicken breasts, egg whites, mixed greens, pineapple, cherry tomatoes, green beans & two huge containers of onion/garlic powder.

$11 each (SO CHEAP)

Chicken is something I have THE most trouble preparing mainly because I don't cook with any salt so its typically hit or miss BUT TODAY WAS A HIT. Here's how I prepare the chicken:

After washing, trimming and tenderizing; I seasoned the chicken breasts in olive oil, onion powder, garlic powder, ground pepper, crushed pepper, parsley flakes and lemon/lime juice.

When finished, place on grill for about 10 minutes each side (depending on how thickly or thinly you slice it)

Looks yummy right??

Now, I have chicken for the entire week to either pair with some sweet potatoes, brown rice or to throw on a salad (which is exactly what I did for dinner tonight)

Looks even yummier right?
