Turkey Balls

After a small hiatus IM BACK! and I'm back with a recipe! whats better than that?! I made some faux spaghetti and meatballs because I knew for sure if I ate sautéed ground turkey one more time I would going to end my life. So here is how I changed it up...

What you'll need:

2 packages of ground turkey (one 99% and 93%)
2 small can of no salt added tomato sauce
1 small can of tomato sauce
1 can of no salt added stewed tomatoes (mine were like celery or something flavored)
Seasoning of your choice (mine are pictured below)
Mushrooms
Medium Onion
Whole Bay leaves
Whole Garlic cloves
Salt & Pepper to taste

How to make it:

In a large pot, sauté chopped onion and 2 chopped garlic cloves in EVOO until onion becomes translucent over medium heat. add all cans of tomato sauce, mushrooms and seasonings (garlic powder, 2-3 bay leaves, 2-3 whole garlic cloves, onion powder, MS. Dash tomato/basil/garlic, paprika, parsley and whatever else you like) lower heat to low and cover.

MEANWHILE! In a large bowl, combine turkey with the seasons listed above (feel free to add sea salt). In a frying pan, add EVOO over med heat, add small balls of turkey and brown on both sides (I had to make two batches) once they are brown drop them into the sauce.

Once you have added all the turkey balls, leave on low with cover on, cook for around 2 hours. You're house will smell great and you will think of me :)

I served mine with some spaghetti squash that I baked in the oven and a slice of toasted ezekiel bread with garlic powder OR a just a simple salad. YUM YUM

Good News you just cooked for the week BAM!

Enjoy xo
