Apple Cinnamon Protein Cake

After a fail attempt of making Jamie Easons Pumpkin Protein Cake I decided to stick with my own recipes and turns out it was a good choice. I thought this came out extremely yummy and for around 260 calories per square they are perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Preheat oven to 350

In a large mixing bowl...
5 scoops vanilla protein (100 cals per scoop)
6oz egg whites (or 3/4c - i used liquid egg whites)
1c oat flour
1 tsp baking powder
cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2c of unsweetened almond milk
Sugar Free Caramel Coffee Syrup (i used archer farms)
Stevia or Splenda

Combine all of the above using a blender (it will look like liquid)

Add about half of the batter to a greased pyrex pan, slice half of an apple and layer it on top of the batter. Add cinnamon and pour the remainder of the batter.

Bake for 35 - 40 minutes (time may vary) just check it until the fork comes out clean!

Makes four servings
